Artist Statement:
The reason why I painted this was because I admire the Artist Michelangelo.
Growing up I always saw this statue that tells a story about a Mother's love and experiencing the ultimate sacrifice that Her Son made.
I believe it represents that there is no greater love than from a Mother that understands and accepts their child's purpose in life even in death.

La razón por la que pinté esto fue porque admiro al Artista Miguel Ángel.
Al crecer, siempre vi esta estatua que cuenta una historia sobre el amor de una Madre y la experiencia del sacrificio máximo que hizo Su Hijo.
Creo que representa que no hay mayor amor que el de una Madre que comprende y acepta el propósito de su hijo en la vida incluso en la muerte.
