Artist Statement:
As a child, I always looked in books and magazines, fascinated by the pictures I saw. I wanted to recreate pictures from National Geographic, as their photographers and writers have always inspired me. I captured this photo when I went on a day trip with my family, and I saw this community of birds and thought to myself, "If we could only co-exist as a community with love and compassion like other species!" My biggest dream is to one day work for them, traveling the world, capturing the beauty of nature and the diverse cultures of people. I want to show others how I view the world and that all the different people and cultures can coexist. I hope to one day inspire another child that has the same dreams as myself to pick up a camera and immortalize the world’s memories through their photos.

Cuando era niño, siempre miraba libros y revistas, fascinado por las imágenes que veía. Quería recrear imágenes de National Geographic, sus fotógrafos y escritores siempre me han inspirado. Capturé esta foto cuando en una excursión con mi familia, vi esta comunidad de aves y pensé: "¡Si tan solo pudiéramos coexistir en comunidad con amor y compasión como otras especies!" Mi mayor sueño es trabajar para National Geographic y algún día viajar por el mundo, capturar la belleza de la naturaleza y diversas culturas. Quiero mostrarles a los demás cómo veo el mundo donde diferente culturas pueden coexistir. Espero algún día inspirar a otro niño que tenga los mismos sueños que yo, tomar una cámara e inmortalizar los recuerdos del mundo a través de sus fotos.
